It’s Monday but Don’t Forget Your Mission

It’s Monday! Life can seem really boring when we are constantly following the same routine. Sometimes we feel like we are never going to finish our current stage of life. Whether it be school, work, raising children, or a hundred other situations in life we can feel bogged down at times. So how do we overcome this boredom that plagues us? By recognizing the truth.

Each of us have a very exciting task to complete everyday but we just do not recognize it very often. No matter where we find ourselves we are all spies in a war zone with a mission straight from the greatest ruler of all time. We are called and equipped to overthrow the greatest evil of all time who uses all sorts of special agents and underhanded tactics to try to thwart our mission.

There has never been a secret weapon or spy gadget that comes close to the weapon that is available to each of us. Through His Holy Spirit God promises to make available everything we need for every good work the moment that we need it. Although we sometimes lose
a battle we can reclaim victory at any moment because our Lord Jesus Christ has already won the victory.

Our arsenal includes love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Our armor will protect us from all evil. Having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Our actions cause rejoicing and celebration to break out in Heaven. We are being used to change the eternal destination of those around us. Angels are surrounding us as spiritual war is being waged at every moment. Treasure that we can not fathom is being stored up and strongholds are being torn down.

Yes it’s Monday and for those of us who are in God’s army today is as exciting as yesterday. Open your eyes to the battles before you. How many have you won and how many have you lost already today? If necessary start over by asking the one who has won every battle to forgive you. Take up your weapons and put on your armor it is time to fight! Happy Monday soldiers! If

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:10-12)
